Flight Gallery has been "Diluting the real art scene since 2002", and is owned & operated by Justin Parr, a great guy to talk to if you want to know more about San Antonio's underground art.
I saw much evidence of interesting sticker, stencil, and graffiti art in San Antonio, and Justin keeps up with all the latest, like most guys keep up with whatever is happening in sports.
The guys at FL!GHT are responsible for the ingenius "Keep San Antonio Lame" campaign, which we can assume is in response to Austin's "Keep Austin Weird" campaign.
20 of Mothersbaugh's framed Postcard Diary prints were featured in the FL!GHT art show, which follows DEVO's 2006 live concert at the Sunken Garden Theatre in San Antonio. Many fans who attended the concert showed up at the art reception...some coming from Austin and other parts of Texas.
At least two people with DEVO tattoos attended the opening reception, and I met another guy from San Antonio with a DEVO tattoo the day after the show. DEVO tattoos seem to be growing more & more popular in Texas!
Mark Mothersbaugh was with his wife in China picking up his 2nd adopted child, and was unable to attend the reception.
To top off the great reception, we were all treated to live performances by MOTHFIGHT and Hyperbubble.
Special thanks to Justin, Matt, Ed, Dan, Abra, Shazza, and all the other friendly folks I met in San Antonio. Hope to see you all next year.

BTW: We are planning a KRK Ryden art show for FL!GHT Gallery in 2008, who I also work for as his art agent, so I hope to see a lot of you again next year. KRK provided artwork for DEVO in the 1980's (for their LP catalogs, newsletters, etc).
